Dover Beaches North (Normandy Beach, Chadwick Beach and Ocean Beaches 1, 2 and 3) is and unincorporated area that is part of Toms River Township (formerly Dover Township) in Ocean County, New Jersey. While 95 percent of Toms River is on the mainland, the remaining 5 percent is on the Barnegat Peninsula and broken into the sections of Dover Beaches North and Dover Beaches South.
Route 35 has well-maintained homes on both the ocean and bay sides in Toms River Township homes that are perfect for summer rentals and fun on the sand and in the sun.
Swimming, surfing, fishing, boating, sunbathing it’s all here and it’s all good at Normandy Beach, and nearby Chadwick Beach, as well: a comfortable community of bungalows that is much like the town of Lavallette nearby - with a very low tide that creates good conditions for surfboarding. Even more beach fun awaits you at Ocean Beaches 1, 11 and 111.

Beach Tag Purchase Location:
Normandy Beach Homeowner’s Association, and the beaches are guarded during the summer season. Surfing is allowed at Haddonfield Avenue and Westmont Avenue, and fishing is permitted outside of the bathing areas. All beaches are handicapped accessible.
There are no public restrooms available, and no boat launching facilities.
On street parking is available.
Vehicular access to specific types of vehicles during the off-season is by permit only.
